Philosophy
We believe that given quality instruction, good study skills and work ethic, all students can achieve and be successful in their study of Mathematics. Message From Holly
Dear Parents and Students;
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Beaverbrook Math Academy web site. We are a small school, with a warm supportive environment, which is committed to high quality mathematics instruction.
At Beaverbrook Math Academy we are committed to the education and development of each individual student, specifically in the area of mathematics. We offer math courses in grades 10, 11 and 12 and private tutoring sessions for many different math courses. Students at BMA will receive individual attention in a supportive, small group setting and a high calibre of instruction. This will allow each one to reach their full potential and allow them to proceed confidently into their post secondary education with a solid mathematical background.
Mathematics is a subject area which is critical to students as they mature into young adults. It is a subject which is a prerequisite for many post secondary degree programs. It is also an area of study which can help students develop personally. A strong base in math will help them develop problem solving and complex reasoning skills. It will enhance their ability to make logical arguments and expose illogical ones. It will lead them to learn perseverance and flexibility in problem solving and efficiency and precision in presenting their solutions. All of these qualities are essential to students as they step out into our ever changing world.
I look forward to meeting and working with each of you and beginning this exciting journey together.
